02 plates. Given the car a service (oil, filters) how do I get rid of the alarm off the dash? also don`t know if its connected but the car has lost power. many thanks in advance.

For a 2003 passat, do the following:
with you right hand hold the trip-reset button.
Turn the ignition on while holding the trip-reset button. The display should say 'service'.
Now turn the clock button clockwise. Still hold the trip-reset button.
Switch ignition off.
You're done!
