how can i replace the ignition barrel on my vauxhall zafira 2001 2.0 dti garage is quoting £180-00 is that good?

hi its scott the key will go in the barrel but wont turn how can i replace it my self need help

The barrell should be about £30, quite easy to replace - 5 screws for cowling and then remove wiper switch. put pin in hole and pull out. About 40 minutes in and out.

Yes thats about the correct price as the barrel has to be ordered from the main dealer as it has to correspond with your immobiliser code ect.
