My boyfriend has bought a 57 plate Sportsman 2. It seems to have started to go wrong. The battery seems to have died - but bike eventually starts with kick start. I was looking for battery to put it on charge but instructions are not very good. To say the least! Using this site I now know where the battery is but can you charge it as it says maintenance free?

yes you can charge the battery but don't do it while its still in the bike, take it out & charge it in a safe area. most new bikes have maintenance free batteries & it just means they are sealed & will never need topping up like up like the old type batteries.
