How can I fix my Tricity Bendix Autowaher 1000 Eco 4 washing machine?

My tricity bendix washing machine has been making grinding noises as it washes and eventually the drive belt from the motor has come off. Does this mean the drum bearing has gone? If so, is it fairly straightforward to replace the bearings?
