If you have a faulty battery even with jumper it won`t generate enough voltage for starter or if theres a bad connection ...really need to load test battery and if its shows good you will ned to see how much the starter draw is .....have seen timing and lower engine problems cause this ......have also seen a bad alternator bearing causing a slow start ........need to make sure engine will turn freely
