My Tricity Bendix Tumble Dryer is making a terrible noise?

My Tricity Bendix Tumble Dryer is making a terrible noise when it is running. I am afraid of it causing a fire! What should I do?
Can it be fixed or should I just purchase a new one?

Ours was making an awful banging noise, and all it needed was a lubrication(after 8 years of un-serviced use!!) The serviceman said it still had at least another ten years life to go! Good luck with yours!
