My Homlite/Trimlite will not idel and when running the choke has to be on or it will stop.

usually, when you get the the trimmer out of the box the air fuel mixture is set incorrectly for the altittude you are at. Unless you are on sea level, the air is alot lighter then being at sea level. therefore it needs to be adjusted properly. I had the exact same problem with mine.
