Stairlift - maintenance manual?

How can we get our hands on the equivalent of a workshop manual for a stairlift. Stairlift companies really sting the elderly on maintenance contracts and sbed poor workmen resulting in need for even more maintenance "contracts". Father very capable engineer but needs some wiring diagram to refer to. Any help gratefully appreciated

do I have to remove the chairlift from the track to remove the driveshaft and gear?

how do I take out a worn driveshaft and gear?

If it is similar to my Silver-Glide, there are two wires from each call box. The center wire between the two diodes goes to ground. The other wire goes to the red wire, to the center slip ring. The call boxes are connected together to the same red wire. Either call box will then move the chair up or down the rail.

I can't answer the question. I need an answer, myself. I bought a used Liberty/ Cheney, and am unable to wire it correctly.

Two call switches, diodes in them, which I did not know when I dismantled, so do not know how to wire.

1/3 HP "Instant Reverse" motor, so I assume the switches and diodes feed "Positive alternately to whichever LOAD wire is needed to run in that direction.

I am at a loss. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Liberty/Cheney LL-I or LL-II?

Cheers,
George

you need to contact a company like anglia or us www.goactivemobility.co.uk.
not all of us charge exorbitant fees for simple servicing . have you had problems with it ? or is it working normally ?

Somebody have the electrical schematic for stairlift Access Exel model

Most stairlifts can be repaired without the aid of a wiring diagram and if you contact your local stairlift maintenance company you shouldn't pay much more than you would pay your local plumber. You could try us www.anglia-stairlifts.co.uk and if we are not local to you I would probably know an engineer local to you.
