How do I remove clutch assy for craftsman weedwacker model # 358.791070?

How do I remove clutch assy for craftsman weedwacker model # 358.791070?
Jim Jennings, July 2009
I have a craftsman 358.791070 weedwacker. I just replaced the starter cord and machine was working for a bit. All the sudden stopped. Pull cord is jammed. I took back apart and the pull cord is fine once off assembly. Clutch is not spinning properly when attached into flywhell, etc. Any suggestions?

Remove the air cleaner then you unbolt the the 2 screws for the gas tank and the 2 screws for the carb. under the air cleaner and the 2 screws on the outer end of the frame opposite the spark plug side. Remove the tank and the cover with the carb. while also removing the screw that holds the cable to the top of that frame and remove the throttle cables end from the carb. linkage.Remove the 4 screws under the lower frame next to the carb. mount and remove the spark plug wire from plug.On the bottom of the motor where trimmer throttle assembly mounts, remove the 4 screws to seperate from the motor and unplug the electric shut off cable. The clutch drum has a squared nipple end thats hollow with a Torx screw deep inside it that must be unscrewed to remove the clutch drum, then unscrew the clutch plate assembly from the shaft and remove the large washer and the tube that surrounds the shaft under the washer, and remove the 4 mounting screws that hold the outer frame housing to the motor next to the clutch assembly. You can now remove the outer frame housing from the bottom of the motor at the lower shaft end, and the pull start assembly is located in that frame.
