how can i fix my Peugeot 106 zest 2 1998?

hi just brought a 106 that didnt come with a key, if i change the ignition barrel lock will i need to have it re-coded at a main dealer?

it will need coding in as the new key will have a blank chip inside that needs pairing to engine ecu. its not the barrel that causes problem but new key.
