How can I fix my Whirlpool tumble dryer?

How can I fix my Whirlpool AWZ650 tumble dryer?
It does everything except dry!
It blows air, the drum rolls round and reverses, the timer counts down, but it doesn't get hot.
The filters are clear and the water tray is empty.
I've had the back off and there's nothing obvious.
It's nearly new.
What have I done?
Please help.
Mike, Kent/London.

Thank you.
My dryer is about two years old but I live on my own and it has very little use.
The thermostats show very little resistance (closed circuit) just as they should do, and so does the heater element.
I connected up a test bulb across the contacts in place of the heater and thermostat string and found no power getting through.
If the filter and water tray are empty, is there anything else that could be at fault, or am I looking at over £100 of switch?
Are there such places as second hand breakers yards for dryers?
Does anyone have a phone number?
Yours depressingly...

It sounds like the element/thermostat is faulty but if the water is empty and filter clean contact Whirlpool for service if nearly new as 12 month warranty standard.
