how do i fix my triton opal shower?

my shower has lost pressure and keeps going hot and cold as though someone is turning a tap on else where in the house but they arent.what is wrong with it?

i replaced the shower hose and head with a new one and the pressure must be different and now the water comes out of the overflow aswell as the hose, it even comes out of the overflow when the hose is not attached, im assuming this is due to the prd defecting, is this right??
