how do i get the cap that free spins on the clutch off to be able to spin the clutch off to get to the cord.

#20 screw.. is it counter clockwise???

there is a #20 star screw down the center of that hole. unscrew it the cap comes off. Then unscrew the clutch assembly. its not on tight i put a large open ended wrench in the openings right over the center pointed straight up then use another wrench to turn it. but put a screw driver in the fan or you will just keep turning the motor.
