REMOTE LOCKING NOT WORKING?

my remote locking has stopped working on my peugeot 306, ive changed the battery in key fob but no joy any ideas?

might need initializing. turn on ignition and hold large button on key in for 10 seconds. turn off ignition and remove key wait 5 seconds and button should work central locking now.
