my rover 25 ignition coils keep burnig out any ideas?

hi i have a rover 25 w reg 1.4 16v twin cam k seris engine and my ingnition coil keeps on melting i have recently change my alternator and ever since it keeps on doing this ive been told it my ecu but i think its my alternator.
