how to change rear brake pads on a nissan primera 2.0 diesel?

how to change the pads on a 1996 nissan primera diesel. i took the pads out but cant get the brake piston back.do i have to take cable off.martin

These rear brake pistons have to be 'screwed' back. They cannot simply be pushed, as they incorporate a ratchet which compensates the handbrake for pad wear.
