where can i find the brake servo cable?

i put a new starter motor in and the brake servo on my vw golf 1.4 is not working now, where can i find it

The servo is a black cylindrical vessel, just under the bonnet where the brake master cylinder and fluid reservoir is. It has a rubber pipe connected to the inlet manifold and I guess this has been pulled off - heaven knows how though!
