My TV/VCR will record video, but I get no audio?

I have a toshiba tv/vcr combo. Model number MV13L2/W. When I record a program, I get the picture, but there is no sound. I am certain that I have all the settings correct, because it used to work. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Assuming that this is mono sound it could be a dirty sound head. Get someone who knows their way around a VCR's heads to look at it because a: You can easily break wha s still working. b) it's dangerous inside the box (Very high voltages).
