how can i fix my lcd on my dashboard in vauxhall zafira?

my lcd display in my 1999 vauxhall zafira has stopped lighting up. I dont know if its the fuse or the bulb that has blown or mabey its something else i should be looking at. How do i proceed in checking where the fault is

First make sure the dash lights dimmer switch has not been turned right down.
Are you referring to the multi function display or just the bit with the mileage readout at the bottom of the speedo?
