BELT FITTING ON A DYSON 04?

IT SEEMS THE ONLY WAY I CAN FIT A BELT ON MY O4 IS TO LOOP BELT OVER THE BRUSH WHICH FITS IN ITS GUARD WHICH ONLY THE BOTTOM GREEN PART REMOVES THEN THE DIFFICULTY SEEMS TO BE STRETCING THE BELT OVER THE MOTOR SPINDLE, USING A LARGE LONG FLAT SCREWDRIVER WHICH IS DIFFICULT AND CAN DAMAGE THE BELT, ANY SUGGESTIONS
