peugeot speedfight2 nonstarter?

Need help, unable to start my speedfight2 50cc fitted new sparkplug and getting a spark but it won't start .

pop a "little" fuel done the plug hole when plug removed. Replace plug and try to start does it fire and then stop. Proabably petrol if it does. Strip and clean carb.
