How can I fix my Mira Shower?

The water temperature is very hot and no matter which way I turn the control knob the temperature remains the same. How can I rectify this?

Is the control knob correctly engaged with the flow valve underneath. It might be as simple as removing the cover and lining up the knob to the valve spindle.
Then replace the cover.
Make sure you turn off the mains power before doing this.
