vauxhall vectra 2.0 GLS cutting out?

My vectra cuts out when slowing down and dropping down in gears. The idle speed tends to be slightly erratic at times. What could be the cause and how can it be rectified? (at the moment it is intermittent)

The only lights to come on are usual lights on stalling - oil, battery, management

Hi it could be the idle air control valve or the mass air flow sensor.Is there any warning lights coming on the dash?
