my compaq cd-rom will not open ?

I am unable to get into windows because of an admin password. I have a program to fix this on CD, however, my cd devise will not open. the indicator light shows that power is getting to it

Look on the door of your CD-ROM drive. You will see a little hole. Get a paper clip and stick it in until the door pops open. That hole is there for a rescue open.
