The water wont stop running into my Simpson Deluxe 516 Washing Machine?
My Simpson Deluxe 516 Washing Macine is approx 20 - 25 years old. The water doesn't shut off when its supposed to when filling and therefore overflows & floods the laundry. I have been told it may be something to do with the Solinoid (spelling?) not working properly. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

there is an air switch,it is round with see through pipes going to it as the water fills up the pressure increases and trips the switch,if you blow down the pipe you can hear a click as the switch works
