How do I repair a plastic stihl tank?

After driving the trailer over my Stihl chain saw I have a small leak in the plastic petrol tank. While I can buy a new tank it does form the base/frame of the saw which means a big strip down and rebuild.

I was wondering if there is a kit or product to repair the leak which would stand up to petrol and also stick to the plastic, the plastic has a reference number which is PA 66\GF.

This reference is the same as the chain guard and I am wondering about melting some of this into the crack if there is no other suitable product.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Ken.
Before I read your suggestion I had already tried a hot soldering iron on the chain guard. My iron wasn't hot enough but I see it has possibilities but may need extra plastic for filling/mending.

Since then I have bought some Araldite extra strength SuperGlue which comes in two test tubes. Mix the two together for 15 seconds and apply immediately. I have now used the saw for an afternoon and it seems to be holding so keeping fingers crossed. Cost of repair less than £4.

try cleaning out tank and repair with a hot soldering iron
be careful not to melt to much plastic
