I have stale odours coming from Hoover Quattro 1300 washing machine when the door is opened even though the door is left ajar when not in use. Could it be that the pump is not expelling all the water after the final spin or is there a filter that may be blocked?

its probably a build up of bacteria. do a service wash (95 degrees) every month with good quality powder and no washing in, it should go.
