my v reg vauxhall astra 1.4 judders sometimes ?

the car judders slightly when slowing down or when im in 2nd gear . the car runs fine in higher gears .ive put red x in but this hasnt helped .

This could be anything from a sparking plug breaking down to a dirty idle control valve. Any garage would insist on a full service being done before going ahead with further diagnostics.
