Simz T08 set top box remote control?

Whichever button is pressed it switches programs, continuously running down the list available. Thus I am unable to retune.

Might have fixed it! Firmly held both ends & twisted hard (lh holding pointer end clockwise & rh the battery end anticlockwise). Now all buttons seem to work properly & have retuned successfully. Suspect a sticking contact inside.
