When I rt click task bar, baloon pops up with task manager choice, but when I click task manager nothing happens....no error message or anything..has it been hijacked or what...how do I restore it?

Go in my site: http://www.leo33downloads.coz.bz and go in "My Downloads" page. Scroll down and download "Enabling Registry Editor and Task Manager". Extract the files in your desktop and click "Enable Task Manager". It worked for me. Enjoy!

Sounds like you may have an infection.

I'd suggest you go to www.whatthetech.com, register and check out the forums dealing with investigating infections.

Once you've got the hang of what's going on, start a new thread and wait for a vetted specialist to reply.

Do what they suggest, but don't go off on your own being "creative".
