how can i fix my automatic vauhall corsa 2003?

i have a corsa 1.2 automatic it shows the symbol F on the dash display, then the vehicle just stalls and you cant move the automatic gear stick because it just locks up

From the symptoms it looks like you have an automated manual trans not a proper auto. Get it code read and take a look at live data. The 'F' light can mean any fault
