my television keeps clicking on and off, no picture appears for a while then it will work fine, whats the problem?

I'm in Connecticut with the same problem on my 1.5 year old Samsung 46 inch LCD series 6 tv. It keeps shutting off and on repeatedly. Apparently there are many, many unhappy Samsung customers with the same problem but Samsung is still treating it on a case by case basis instead of issuing a recall.
