airbag light on peugeot 206?

the airbag light comes on on my peugeot 206 gti and tends to stay on for the whole journey,how can i fix this or disable the warning light as it is very distracting whilst driving?

You will need to get it plugged in to a diagnostic machine to find out where the fault is. It's not a system which should be messed about with.
Your car will not fail an MOT test for this light being on, but if you are in a crash the airbags will not work.
