the engine has to be removed in order to remove the timing cover, sorry but there is no other way, followed by removal of sump to remove the hidden timing cover bolts, then , remove the the chain tensioner bolts, a manual is your best bet, for the rest .

The procedure is far too complicated to type up here.
The manual gives you pics, tips and tech details such as torque settings, tensioner adjustment etc.
