how do i solve a leak on my car?

i have a 1997 seat alhambra that leaks in on the passenger side at the front when it rains. Is this a common problem on Seat People Carriers?

could be a faulty door seal or ( i have had this problem with a peugeot )the membrane bihind the door panel is damaged

Sorry i cant give an answer BUT I am having the same problem...I get a deep puddle in the passenger footwell. I came acrodss this info from 2006....any good?
