Pins on my door hinge are broken - so I bought the spare part and took the door off (actually it fell off) undid the screws on the inside of the dryer but the door won't come apart to replace the hinge. Hotpoint won't tell me how as they say they will become liable for any damage I do to the dryer!!!

Any ideas - I don;t want to force the wrong part....

undo any screws on door iside with a fine scew driver split the door halfs fit the hinge watch door glass does not fall and breakput door trims together press firm untill they click together

I have not got the answer yet but have the same problem only I do not know where to get the hinge for the door and also the plastic part that holds the hinge is broken on mine - any clues

if I can fix mine I will let you know
