The door on the dryer would not close for the appliance to go on but if held closed the dryer would work. Now even with the door held shut the dryer will not operate.
Do I need a new door switch and if so how do I fit it?

They sell the parts you are after but it may be that yours has worked loose, so go to the site and on the 'home page' click on the top right advice centre button and scroll down to Dryers and click on the video for replacing a door lock. Now you can check yours and if necessary, order a new one
