How can I receive less emails? I get hundreds of them a day.

Doas Alan suggests. Change your Email address to say, Yahoo.co.uk. I costs nothing. Do let you contacts know the new address.
It has an excellent filter, I get no junk mail to speak and then in it only goes to a junk box, which I check from time to time. You should have at least 2 address's anyway, one for friends and one for other sites like booking and banking etc.

I assume you are referring to junk mail / spam.

Buy an email filtering package
Use GMail / Googlemail, which has excellent filtering.
