Hi, I have a Peugeot speedfight 2, 01 liquid cooled
the bike broke on me tonight and I've been browsing every website I could, tying to find an answer on my problem
my bikes electric start spins the bendix but just makes the electric start noise with no catching onto the cog, doesn't catch onto anything, just keeps spinning, not sure whether I need to replace the bendix or I need something else?
I've looked at starter relays, new motors, but as the bendix spins round I'm guessing it cant be anything else but that

i would check that the outside half of the variator has not fallen off first then look at the bendix,they do go wrong but can be brought back to life with a clean and a bit of good penatrating oil.more likeley to be the nut fallen off the crank though or come loose whcih can also strip the splines off the crabkshaft.not cheap sorry.seen it lots of times and put new cranks in lots of them
