washing machine, will empty, but wont spin, when i plug it into socket power cuts off. I have taken lid off but can'not find any loose connections. There is no leaks, and no strange noises, no rattling sounds, i have had the machine for about 3 years, i have not had any repairs carried out to the machine in all of this time, it has always been relyable, the machine is in reqular use, it hardley gets a rest, the only fault to which i can find is that the wash cycle program will not wash on some wash cycles. Without seeing the machine I would be tempted to suggest that the motor may be at fault, this could simply be the brushes or it could be the motor. If you don't have the 5 year warranty option, call a local washing machine engineer out to take a look for you if you don't feel that you can tackle the job.
