Door locking problems?

I have a Mk 4 Golf and having problems with my locking system, every so often when I lock my door the rear passenger door lock will not lock leaving it open for anyone to pinch not good!! Does anyone have any idea what is up with it??

it might be a dodgy solenoid, i would see if a second hand one is available just to try, it might save you some money
