central locking?

i can open my vectra (1996)_ with the key in the door and when i open the door the alarm goes off and i cant open the car door with the buttons on the key .how do i reset the locking system or key?

It sounds like your batteries are dead in your key fob. If it is a coding problem, then it will cost you and can only be done at main dealer.
