to find out if it is starter motor fault take starter motor out then put it in a vice and conect to battery then with scewdriver bridge over if the gear whith turns the flywheel should move out and spin if it spins but does not move out do not oil get some carbon dust if u have not got try rubbing with the lead of a pencil
