I have a Durabrand vhs that will not rewind. It has never been viewed. We recorded our daughter's ultasounds to the vhs. I went to view it for the first time and it would play and fastforward but it wouldn't rewind. My vcr would try then kick it out and turn off. Is there any way that I can fix it, as it is very important to me. I would really appreciate any help you could give me. Thank You!

It's quite possible and quite easy to dismantle a VHS cassette and inspect the interior - you might try doing it on an unwanted scratch tape first just to see how the tape is wound - then, when you're confident simply take the important tape from its original casette box and drop it carefully into another box. You will need a small cross-point screwdriver and perhaps a pair of tweezers - keep greasy fingers away from the surface of the tape.
