Vauxhall Astra diesel 2l won't start!!?

Hi. I have just completed a head gasket job. It is timed up proparly, there is diesel coming from the injector pump. what I have noticed is that INSP comes up under the speedo. Everything is plugged back in, Why won't it start? Any helpwould be appreciated.
