Tricity Bendix TM310 W, start button not staying in?

Hi, Our dryer has developed the following fault.

When the start button is pushed in and held the dryer runs as normal, but if let go the dryer stops.

Any ideas welcome

on/off switch faulty.sounds like latch bit has broken or not making contact
