i drove over some rough ground, a stone has crushed my oil/sump pan and the oil warning light is on. the oil levels are full though.

i fear that the oil pickup head/ pump has been broken and i wondered if the engine needed to be taken out of a fiat punto Nreg 1995 ish model, to make the repairs.

Av just got a 96 punto 55 s tha needed a new sump all uve gotta do is remove the metal plate that covers the clutch an take out the bolts tha hold the sump on. ul need to get a screwdriva or sumfin to remove it cos o the silicon tha holds it on its quite easy on a ramp n u dont ave to take the engine out just rememba u need silicon to seal it up again read the instructions if u dont no how 2 use it n make sure ye remove all the old silicon or it wont dry properly. u shud b able to get a new oil pickup from fiat an u shud b able 2 c how it fits when u take it off u mite need a gasket but am not sure n dnt think ul o damaged it unless its been hit really bad. o ye if u havnt got a ramp axle stands r ok n all bu its easier if its higher up. i ad 2 do mine on me own bu try n get sum1 2 help ye itl b well easier!
