Internet Problems, with Game not IE?

I keep lagging and crashing on The Realm Online. Websites work just fine. My Laptop is an Acer Aspire 5100-3357. The Acer eNet Management keeps popping up with Internet connect\Disconnected. The Cable company says health test is just fine. Game says its not a problem on their end, and to confirm I went 6 rooms down and the game worked just fine, no lag, no crashing. Any ideas?

How can I configure "The Realm Online" so it will work through a firewall?
In order to play The Realm Online, you will need to open a number of ports.

The TCP/IP ports to open are:

* 6005
* 6006
* 6012
* 7000
* 7002
* 8000
* 8001

Your system administrator can usually open the ports.
Note that these are the ports currently being used and are subject to change.
