There is a special tool to re set the brake if it has actuated whilst off the saw, it is a three legged box spanner pt no. 502522202, however if you remove the clutch and sprocket ( jar clutch off against compression, left hand thread ) you can then put it back on the saw and use the hand guard to load it.
