when car first started it jumps hard into 1st but is better when warm also slips through gears when i put my foot down

it sounds like you have a clutch problem try this select first gear engine runnig put foot on brake release clutch if car stalls clutch ok if not thenafter checking fluid level and no leaks try again if car does not stall then suspect clutch failure and replace
